Born in Toronto and raised in the Greater Vancouver area, John Cullen is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, writer and former high school teacher now based in Calgary, Alberta. With over a decade of stand-up experience, Cullen has performed at the Just for Laughs, Halifax, and Winnipeg Comedy Festivals, and regularly appears on CBC Radio’s The Debaters. His hit podcast Blocked Party has been downloaded nearly three million times and has earned accolades from The A.V. Club and Vulture. In addition to two #1 charting comedy albums, John released his first narrative podcast Broomgate: A Curling Scandal in 2024, in collaboration with Kelly&Kelly, USG Audio, and CBC Podcasts.

Teacher & Parent Theme Show: Not only is John Cullen a former teacher who will bring his best teaching jokes, the line-up also includes host Alex Miller (a parent to young kids), Kevin von Helvette (a high school motivational speaker) and Syd Bosel (a parent to adult children… because parenting never ends!) as seen on Canada’s Got Talent.
