The Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce’s (ACOC) Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) is thrilled to present keynote speaker, Dr. Shahana Alibhai, TedX speaker, family physician, mental health advocate and author of Feel Better. 

Together with our panelist, Kimberlee Moran, Rebecca Vigelius, Jasmine Bhambra and Linsday Kay (tentative), topics will cover health, wellness, and the impacts of stress that women in our community, and beyond, face every day. Geared towards the women who are striving, survivng, and thriving in Abbotsford. 

Learn techniques that help you better care for your health both inside and out.

Keynote Speaker: Dr Shahana Alibhai


Dr. Shahana Alibhai is a professional speaker, family physician and mental health expert.

She has worked with a multitude of organizations, including the University of British Columbia, Scotiabank and Remax to help the audience gain more clarity into their mental health.


As a lead physician at one of British Columbia’s largest youth health centres, much of Dr. Shahana’s career is focused on those struggling with their mental health. Her insights are highly sought after and she’s been featured in multiple major media, including CTV and Global. She is best known for her “Emotional Literacy for Better Mental Health” TEDx talk.


Dr. Shahana is a master at blending her personal story of postpartum anxiety and the resulting shame, denial and mental health challenges with her professional background in cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness meditation.

Jasmine Bhambra

Jasmine is a multifaceted professional who has made significant contributions in various fields. From designing and building homes in the Fraser Valley for the last 20 years to building community pantries and gardens as a Community Builder with United Way of BC, she combines practical expertise with community-focused initiatives.
