Dismantling Barriers: Access to Capital, a WLC event

January 22, 2025 (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM) (PST)

Description

The Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce Women's Leadership Council is excited to bring you "Dismantling Barriers: Access to Capital". The event will focus on providing women entrepreneurs with the tools they need to kickstart their business, featuring a panel of female business leaders who are experts on accessing capital through financing, budgeting, and more. Centered on providing women entrepreneurs and business owners with the resources they need to feel confident in accessing and managing capital, topics covered will include why, when, and how to access loans and grants, how to write a successful business plan, and what other nuances and challenges business owners may face in sourcing funding. All attendees can leave with a business plan template to help guide them on their way to writing or fine-tuning their own business plan for future capital applications, and they will have the opportunity to have their plans reviewed and revised by business owners and credit writers at a subsequent follow-up.

Our panel will include Cathy Press, the CEO of Chinook Helicopters, Linda Eldabaja, the Business Centre Manager at the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), Melanie Rupp, the Senior Director of Loans & Advisory Services at WeBC, and Harjeet Mand, Business Banking Team Lead at Scotiabank!

Support and get involved with a community of female leaders in the Abbotsford business community!
