The Chamber’s Company of Young Professionals (CYPE) and the Esposito Family Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (EFCIE) are collaborating on an event for students and young professionals to help build skills on developing new professional connections that lead towards valuable mentor relationships. This event is in celebration of the upcoming national mentoring day (Oct 27). Objective: Bring together the local UFV/CYPE community to recognize the accomplishments of our local leaders + alumni and serve as an opportunity for networking, mentorship and inspiration. Build awareness of CYPE across a community of young professionals and grow the relationship with EFCIE. Co-hosts: CYPE Chair Sam Varing & EFCIE Dr. Jon Thomas

Matt Rothery 

Matt Rothery is a self made real estate investor; the VP of Investor Relations at Raising Wealth Properties; and a fleet manager of Abbotsford Chrysler. With over 8 years of door to door experience, 8 years of automotive sales, and 6 of real estate investing, he has mastered the art of first impressions and communication, and has worked his way into partnerships that allowed him to raise millions for charities; train over a hundred of sales professionals; and make his first 52 unit apartment Joint Venture all by 30 years old! 

Matt’s presentation will focus on:

• How to have a great first impression + build rapport
• Having a meaningful interaction with a potential mentor to establish relationship
