In in recognition of Small Business Month, the Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Leader's Lunch focused on the Economic Forecast for the Fraser Valley and BC.

Ken Peacock, will guide us into a deep dive into the economic forecast of the Fraser Valley economy. With 98% of all businesses in BC being small businesses1, learn more about the economic trends that could effect how small businesses operate in BC.

This event will include networking, catered lunch, and keynote presentation followed by a moderated Q&A where attendees can submit their questions. 

Don't miss this opportunity to learn from BCBC's Chief Economist about the current state of the economy and projections into the last quarter.

About Ken Peacock

Ken Peacock is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at the Business Council of British Columbia, an association representing 220 large and mid-sized companies that together account for approximately one-quarter of all jobs in the province. In this capacity, Mr. Peacock contributes to the Council’s work on economic and policy issues of interest to the business community. He is the author of Business Council publications dealing with the provincial economy and related policy matters.

Mr. Peacock joined the Business Council in 2002. Prior to that, he was an Economist with Central1 Credit Union, an umbrella organization for the credit unions in the province. There he advised credit unions on the outlook for the provincial economy, housing markets, and interest and exchange rates. 

Mr. Peacock was born and raised in BC. He attained his master’s degree in economics from Simon Fraser University and is a past President of the Association of Professional Economists of BC and a member of the BC Economic Forecast Council.
