This mingle is an opportunity for emerging professionals, leaders, and entrepreneurs to network with their peers.

This social group was established to introduce young professionals from all business sectors  to the Chamber and we are currently seeking feedback to help shape the future of this group.  If you would like to contribute your ideas, please click here to take our survey.

Young Leaders is a diverse network of individuals in the business community who are under the age of 40, including non-members and young Chamber Members, whether business owners themselves or employees of Chamber member companies.  

What to expect:   Picture 100+ young business leaders, wine, appetizers, networking, and door prizes all hosted by the fun and energetic staff at the Abbotsford Heat and the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre.  This is the second event for the Young Leaders group, so we're all new at this point.  Hope to see you there!  (Check out the photos from our first event)

On arrival: Guests are invited to park in the Premium Lot located on College Way (on the south side of Finnegan’s Pub).  Please follow the signage and enter the building through the Premium Doors located on University Way (just north of the box office and main doors).

Get to know our hosts:
The Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre a production oriented multi- purpose entertainment venue. Managed by Global Spectrum, the 8,500 seat venue built for entertainment hosts a myriad of events including concerts, rodeos, and circuses, ice skating and family shows. The Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre also has the capacity to hold 7,000 excited hockey fans and is the home of the AHL’s Abbotsford Heat. In addition to hockey, the venue accommodates other sporting events such as basketball, volleyball, wrestling and gymnastics.

The Abbotsford Heat  is the Fraser Valley’s own professional hockey team.  The Heat is a member franchise of the 30-team American Hockey League, the primary development league to the National Hockey League (NHL).  Abbotsford is the only City in Western North America that has an AHL franchise in its back yard.  Serving as the AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, the Heat plays home games out of the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre.  On the ice, the team is committed to developing its players in a system that not only produces wins, but also develops talent and improves both their hockey and their interpersonal skills in an effort to be good citizens.  Off the ice, the Heat is dedicated to providing exemplary service to its fans at every home game, and to giving back to the community.  “Our Heat team will GIVE to our community a BRAND OF HOCKEY and a HOCKEY BRAND to be proud of.”   – Ryan Walter, President
