Event Description:

Abbotsford Community Foundation (ACF) and the City of Abbotsford have partnered to produce a 2019 Vital Signs report with the intention to inform the community on how Abbotsford is doing in 4 key issues areas.  In particular the Homelessness/Housing and Income components have identified some key gaps that will identify to service providers where they can focus their programs and services to help bridge those gaps.  Wendy Neufeld, Executive Director of the ACF will present along with the City of Abbotsford and Dr. Alina Turner and Travis Turner of Turner Strategies on these hot topics. The City’s Housing and Homeless unit will officially launch the new HelpSeeker website and demonstrate how it ties into the findings of the 2019 Vital Signs report and integrate in the overall systems planning that delivers shared outcomes.  This will then inform high impact investment decisions and alignment of services with the goal to achieve cost savings to the community that can be reinvested into the local economy.
